About the Artist

debbieDebra Carson     Dundas, Ontario

A retired teacher, Debra instructed art in public education for 30 years and is now finding time to focus on her own art.

With the Dundas Valley Conservation area as her backyard, she practises environmental stewardship and is inspired by the marvels of nature.  Horses are another topic as Debra has tended the farm for many years with ample time to observe equine behaviours and admire their beauty and spirit. A variety of media such as acrylic, oil, watercolour and mixed media are used.

Art provides Debra a way in which to continue learning as she explores environmental issues, nature and the world around her.  Finally she paints because it’s fun!
